Thompson Region Family Obstetrics Clinic (TRFO)
Provides maternity care for women in the Kamloops region throughout their pregnancies, births and up to six weeks postpartum. The clinic provides individualized medical care, and pregnancy and postpartum information and support. The family physicians work both in the TRFO Clinic and on the labor and delivery ward. There is a different doctor each day for the clinic and for the delivery ward. This means that women will meet different members of the team throughout their pregnancy. They have been working to add a more regular rotation of doctors to the clinic for better continuity. There is a good chance the women will meet a new-to-them doctor in labor, so the team pays careful attention to full and complete communication to make this process as easy as possible. If you wish to have your maternity care provided by the Thompson Region Family Obstetrics Group, a referral can be made by your primary care provider. Post-partum support services Zoom sessions are also available.
