Community-based Victim Services Provided by: Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre Society (KSACC)
Offers information and emotional support to survivors/victims of partner assault, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and criminal harassment or stalking, as they navigate the legal and court processes. Provides information on and assistance with reports to RCMP, third party reporting, Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) and Victim Impact Statement forms, and court procedures. Also provides court and hospital accompaniment. Wheelchair accessible. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).

BC Housing Women Fleeing Violence
BC Housing supports more than 100 transition houses and safe homes for women — with or without children — who are at risk of violence, or who have experienced violence.The programs provide women and children with a temporary place to stay, support services, referrals and assistance in planning next steps. Kamloops RCMP Victim Services Unit:
Provides services such as Emotional support, information on police investigation and court status, community resources and referrals, assisting in completing crime victim assistance forms or making victim impact statements, Trauma care for children, court preparation and accompaniment and more. Can be referred by giving consent to attending police officer or calling the office.

PEACE Program
The Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment (PEACE) program for children and youth experiencing violence, (formerly Children Who Witness Abuse) is a free, confidential program across BC for children and youth aged 3 to 18 who have experienced domestic violence.
Based on psycho-educational methods, PEACE programs provide individual and group counselling to help children and youth:

Understand what violence against women is, that they are not alone, and that the violence is not their fault

Identify support networks and develop a safety plan

Identify their feelings and express them in healthy ways

Recognize their strengths and increase their self-confidence

Develop problem solving and coping skills

VictimLinkBC is a toll-free, confidential, multilingual service available across B.C. and the Yukon 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
